“Suck it up.” “Get over it.” “You’re making a mountain out of a molehill.” Do. you hear statements like that when you’re trying to express your feelings or get your needs met? If those things sound true for you, you might be what psychologist and researcher Elaine Aron, PhD, terms a highly sensitive person (HSP).
